HTML

 

HTML is abbreviated as “Hyper Text Markup Language” more at ExporingBits. It is an encoding scheme used for creating and formatting a Web Document. HTML is used for defining the way in which a file is read and interpreted by the compiler. Almost all of the HTML languages can be understood by humans. We can save HTML file with the extension .htm or .html.

An HTML tag contains a less than (<) symbol and then the tag-name and closed by greater than (>) symbol, i.e. its is enclosed in angular brackets.

FEATURES of Hyper Text Mark-up Language:

·        HTML is easy understand even for beginners.

·        HTML does not need any platform, it is completely independent.

·        With the help of HTML pictures and sound files and visual aids can be added to the page of the website.

·        Its documents can be downloaded, interpreted and developed on web browsers.

·        HTML is a cross platform scripting language, which can be viewed on any computer platform- i.e. DOS, LINUX, Windows using any Web Browsers.

·        HTML is maintained by World Wide Consortium(W3C).
